FIRE AND ICE…

Congratulations to “Bn100”, the winner of Jaime’s giveaway. Thank you to all who participated!

DRAGON RISING

Clues left by her missing father lead Lyra to a gorgeous, mysterious Caido, a descendent of fallen angels. When she discovers that his brother is also missing, she’s determined not to let the exasperating man shut her out.

The last thing Archer needs is an emotional Dragon at his side, especially one whose heat reaches beyond the icy walls he and all Caidos erect for good reason. Working together? Smart. Falling in love? Foolish … and inescapable.

Series blurb:
Miami, a city of decadence, sunshine, and Dragons, Angels, and Sorcerers. As humans who hold the essence of ancient gods, Crescents walk the knife’s edge between the mundane and the Hidden, a world of dark magick, deadly power, and hot passion.

FIRE AND ICE…

Many of my twenty-four books and six novellas have included paranormal elements, so I’m thrilled that Just Romantic Suspense is now officially gone paranormal! In my new Hidden series, I’ve wandered deep into the paranormal forest. I have Dragon shifters, sorcerers, and descendents of fallen angels. All three classes of supernatural humans, called Crescents, hold a sliver of either the essence of a Dragon god, a god of magick, or a fallen angel. They must carry their secret in a world that would crucify them. Added to that pressure, the three classes don’t exactly get along. And they often have to fight those of their own class who have fallen to the dark side of their magick. Oh, and let’s not forget the demons, Elementals, and other creatures borne straight out of our nightmares.

DRAGON RISING is the spin-off novella for DRAGON MINE, featuring twin hero/heroines who each must solve part of the mystery involving their missing father. When Lyra’s brother goes off in one direction (DRAGON MINE) and shuts her out, she decides to pursue her own leads. As a Dragon, she is fiery, passionate, and emotional. So imagine her surprise to find that the one man who can help her is half fallen angel, the coolest, most reclusive of the Crescents. Oh, and he doesn’t really want to help a woman who will cause him no end of pain, quite literally. But poor Archer has no choice. Lyra is not going to get shut out again, not when her father’s life is at stake. As the two unearth clues, she discovers Archer’s secrets, too: the pain desire costs him. His need for her heat. And the fact that he has not shut down his sensuality like he thought he had. As they fight wraiths and other forces of evil, she will do whatever it takes to find a way for them to be together.

I love how some characters just naturally spark against each other, and Lyra and Archer did just that. But they were also drawn to each other in that same fiery way. Fire and ice make a great combination. Just add conflict and stir!

QUESTION: What personality traits clash on the surface, but can unite two very different people?

  1. The bull head and the control freak butt heads constantly but they can get along just fine when they realize they’re after the same end result.

  2. Clean freak and slob. Clean freak loosens up and slob grows up. Hahaha! I love digital books BTW!!

  3. I think a person with high energy and a more mellow person make for a good couple since they complement each other.

  5. Lots of good opposites!

I’m reminded of some good ones while watching The Big Bang Theory–Sheldon Cooper and Penny. They had to play a search game as a team. Too funny!
